Percuno is one engineer with eleven years of shipped software

Percuno FZE is a one-person software company in Sharjah. It builds its own products and takes on a small number of client builds, and all of it is done by the same person. This page says plainly who that is and what he has actually shipped, so you can judge it before you email.

What is Percuno FZE?

Percuno FZE is a software company registered as a free zone establishment with Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone Authority in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, formed on 2 October 2026. Its licence covers software publishing and computer programming. It has one person in it. Percuno develops two of its own products — Carry, a cross-platform personal task manager, and Superset, a web-based AI workout and food-prep planner — and takes on client software development work. Both products are in development and not yet released.

Who runs Percuno?

Percuno is run by Kip Sarapas, a software engineer with more than 11 years building and scaling mobile products. He is Head of Mobile Engineering at a software company in Dubai, a role he has held since 2019, where he leads two cross-functional teams — 12 people across iOS, Android, React Native, React, QA and DevOps. He is Percuno’s sole shareholder and its only engineer. There are no employees, no subcontractors and no bench.

Can Percuno build AI features that keep data private?

Yes — and it is the specialism the company is built around. Kip Sarapas works on on-device and local LLM integration in mobile products: AI features where the model runs on the user’s phone rather than in someone else’s cloud, so the sensitive data the feature needs never leaves the device. This matters in two places. It is why Superset, an AI product handling what you eat and how you train, is being built by someone who already knows how to keep that data off a server. And it is the piece of client work most teams cannot staff — a product manager can ask for “AI, but we can’t send this data anywhere”, and very few people can actually deliver that sentence.

What has he actually built?

Specific, measurable work from the current role:

  • A JavaScript-to-React-Native overhaul that made app boot 5× faster and took data load from 10 seconds to under 1 second, at a stable 60fps.
  • A real-time chat platform on XMPP, WebRTC and VoIP, scaled from 2,000 to more than 80,000 concurrent users, with fault-tolerant voice on ejabberd, Jitsi and OpenSIPS.
  • A database architecture migration that eliminated data loss.
  • End-to-end ownership of the infrastructure underneath all of it — AWS, Kubernetes, Docker and Node.js.

Earlier: a React Native mobile wallet shipped end to end at Emirates Digital Wallet; encrypted chat in native Swift and Kotlin; a mobile crypto wallet.

Where did he work before Percuno?

Before founding Percuno he spent four years as a consultant at IBM, on engagements with Philips, Barclays and Danske Bank, including a React Native business banking app. He then worked as a senior software engineer at Emirates Digital Wallet in the UAE, and has been in mobile engineering leadership in Dubai since 2019.

To be unambiguous about it: those are employers and engagements from his career, not Percuno’s clients. Percuno is a new company and has no clients yet. Nothing on this site is a case study, because there is no Percuno project to write one about.

Where did he study?

BSc in Information Technology, Vilnius University, Lithuania.

Is Percuno a full-time company?

No, and it would be misleading to suggest otherwise. Percuno is one engineer who also holds a senior engineering role, so it takes one client project at a time and start dates are measured in weeks rather than days. What that buys you is the inverse of an agency: when Percuno says yes to a project, there is no bench to park it on and nobody junior to pass it to — the person who agreed to the work is the person who writes it. If you need a vendor who can start Monday, staff three streams in parallel, or carry 24/7 on-call, Percuno is the wrong answer and you should know that from this page rather than from an email three weeks in.

Why does Percuno sell both products and services?

Because they are the same work. The products are what the client work claims to be able to do, done in public: building and maintaining real cross-platform software, as one engineer, with nobody to hand the hard parts to. The client work funds the products, and the products are the evidence for the client work. The alternative — claiming the ability without shipping anything of your own — is the more common arrangement and the less convincing one.

What Percuno is honest about

Percuno is new. The engineering behind it is not. The company was formed in October 2026 and has no customers yet, no reviews and no case studies — and this page will say so until that changes, rather than dressing up a launch as a history. Carry and Superset are both in development and neither has been released.

What exists today is one senior engineer with eleven years of shipped products behind him, two products being built, and client work available now. If you want a vendor with a decade of client references, Percuno does not have them. If you want a direct line to someone who will tell you the truth about your project, that part is available immediately.

What Percuno is building towards

Two products good enough to pay for, and a client practice small enough that every client gets the engineer rather than a queue. That is the whole plan. There is no roadmap to an agency with a bench.

Kip Sarapas, a software engineer with more than 11 years building and scaling mobile products. He is Percuno’s sole shareholder, its sole manager and its only engineer.

Does Percuno have employees?

Percuno FZE is a one-person company. Kip Sarapas is the only person in it, with no additional staff and no subcontractors. The person you email is the person who writes the code.

Has Percuno had clients before?

Not yet. Percuno FZE was formed in October 2026 and has no clients, no reviews and no case studies. The engineer behind it has eleven years of professional experience, but that experience was gained in employment rather than through Percuno.

Did Percuno work with Barclays, Philips or Danske Bank?

No. Kip Sarapas worked on engagements with Philips, Barclays and Danske Bank as a consultant at IBM between 2013 and 2017, before Percuno existed. They are former employers’ clients, not Percuno’s.

What is Percuno FZE’s legal status?

Percuno FZE is a free zone establishment registered with Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone Authority in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, formed on 2 October 2026, with a share capital of AED 50,000. It can contract and invoice as a company.

What is Kip Sarapas’s specialism?

Cross-platform mobile engineering — iOS, Android and React Native — and on-device and local LLM integration, meaning AI features that run on the user’s device so sensitive data stays off a server.
